A MEMBER OF CHRIST’S BODY

I declare my thanks to Jesus, the head of the church, for making me a member of His body. By His Word and Spirit, I am enabled to stay connected to Him and unite with the rest of His body. I shall humbly receive His diverse gifts in others so I can be equipped to do His work and mature to the complete standard of Christ. I shall play my part well so that His church may grow in vitality and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.
