This is Such a profound statement: “‘If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love…’ At first hearing, this may sound like a condition that unsettles assurance. Yet Jesus has already declared that we are loved. Obedience is not the way we earn that love, but the way we remain aligned with it.” Obedience is a reasonable response to God’s intentional abiding love. 😇🙌🏾
Pondering over this piece from Day 3: “Until that question is answered honestly, the table will remain something we admire from a distance. The invitation is real. The seat is prepared. But something within us may still be holding back, wanting both His rule and our control.” What is holding me back from surrender of my control? Help me, Lord.
